Deep Yoga Relaxation
& Sound Healing
A weekend retreat of gentle yoga, breathing, meditation and healing sound along with supported restorative poses to release tension, soothe the soul and rebalance the body and mind.
Is your life full, and you have forgotten how to slow down? If so, then this weekend is for you. Take time to pause and leave the "shoulds" of everyday life behind; reconnect with the nurturing energy of the mother Earth in the beautiful, tranquil surroundings of the Zen Center and let it soothe your senses so that your body and mind can savor the gifts of deep rest and find equilibrium.
During our weekend together we will explore gentle self-care techniques to promote health and well-being such as mindful movement and gentle stretching combined with fully supported restorative yoga postures. We will tap into the healing sound vibration of your voice accompanied by tanpura (a traditional Indian string instrument) to feel the soothing effect it has on the nervous system and the whole body and explore the power of visualization as a way to deepen the connection with your-self.
There will also be plenty of space for your own personal time when you can just simply be or do anything your spirit will be calling for.
This workshop is for all levels of students, no prior yoga experience is needed to attend.
" Go some place sacred, where you can just breathe, let go and relax. "
Fee: $350 if paid in full by September 1, $385 after
Note: The practice of restorative yoga uses a variety of props to support the body. We will have a limited amount of props available, but if you have some at home such as yoga blanket, bolster and eye pillow, please bring these with you. Let us know at the time of registration if you will be needing a yoga mat or other props.
